Er, yes & no.
There is a term in the contract that allows for a variation. They don't need to ask anyones approval, but they should give notice of such change. Where the change creates a material disadvantage, then it explains how you may terminate the contract.

Thanks for advice - will just pay £37.50 cancellation fee and puy it down to experiance !
