photo software recommendations?

When I take pictures for eBay listings, I like them to look as good as I can, obviously. I'm currently using an old Photosuite 3, that I found in a drawer. I'd like to invest in another that can do a bit more, to make my pics look even better. What do you use for 'tweeking' your pics?

I just make sure my camera settings show the colours of the items as true as possible. I sell second hand clothes though.
It depends on what you are listing.
I wouldn't mind some software that edits the backround out.My daughters are my world0 -
Clothes too actually! Amongst others things. So as you say, I like the colour to be true. But cropping out the background, or adding an eye catching border perhaps. Me being carp at these things means I have to rely on the computer knowing what I want from it! Haha0

I'd suggest trying Paint.net (http://www.getpaint.net/). It's a good package with lots of features, and best of all is totally free to use.
If it's still not enough, then start looking at other software. I personally use Serif's Photoplus X3 (about £65). The only problem is that once you register something with Serif, you do get frequent phone calls trying to persuade you to buy other software, but as long as you stay firm and keep saying 'No', it's not too much of a problem.0
