its a mayor of london thing, but i don't care if it is lefty or conservative - its a waste of money.

90% of people working on that project will be lefties. we all know it.

Yet we all admire the French way of life with thier unspolied towns (thaks to a bloated state interference on planning), thier railways, thier way of life, very much built on a bloated state sector.

They've had double our national debt since the 70's and.............. did they go bust, did it all fall apart?

Maybe Mr. White Horse should go on a diversity training course? It takes all sorts in this world, and anything that helps the different sorts get along would seem to be a good idea. If we applied a cost / benefit analysis to everything then we might not end up with very much. But there are other benefits in trying to achieve a fairer and more equal society.

If you deny opportunity to the 'underclass' then you promote the very thing you claim to despise.

Just a thought for the OP - try doing some comparisons between our economy and some of our European partners like Germany, France, Italy, Spain.

    We're not badly off really.

If you want a real carcrash of an economy try looking at Japan. Their national debt is around 192% of GDP -ours is around 54%.

The Tories are completely overplaying the level of debt we have and using simplistic analogies by comparing the National Debt to a household budget. There is no comparison to be made.

Even in a household debt is only a problem when you can't pay it. The UK finances could be better but they are far from being in crisis (yet)
  • We're not badly off really.

you must be a dirty benefits cheat/public sector worker
