Will It Ever Sell?

Can't you hire a project manager to handle the rennovation?
Also, not having seen it, maybe you could rent it out over winter?0 -
Please dont feel despondant, I know its easy to say, but the money that comes from this is a bonus.
There are plenty of people me included that have been on the market for longer and its our house so to speak, its a nightmare!
Of which getting a buyer is only the start! Sorry not helping much.
If your agent isnt keeping you fully informed, I would try elsewhere. Everything sells eventually. 3 mths really isnt that long, the right person will come along. Perhaps call out several agents and see what they all think with regards to the price.
Wierdly the ones that need doing up are usually the very ones that go for more than they should these days, with all these makeover programs everyone seems to want to do it and if the location is wonderful you could well get more than you think.
Dont give up, you will get there.

In the very least give the front of the property (preferably back too) a better paint/textured coating finish, your property doesn't so much as stand out from the rest as stand in, and I would go with the other posters, your agent is either inept or dishonest, get shot of him.Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0

Another thing - make sure the particulars tell the truth. It looks as if it may be semi-detached - if it is then say so and give room sizes and a floor plan. If it has a garden give a rough idea of the size. Provide a plot plan - doesn't have to be perfect (the EA will put in a disclaimer anyhow) but give a rough idea. It may have had loads of viewings but if the particulars are misleading that will only put off potential buyers. And if it is in need of modernisation say so - that will interest loads of people as there's nothing worse (I think) than paying for someone elses' bad taste refurbishment!
Before you lower the price get a few more agents round and check what they think it should sell for. To find other agents you could check out who's selling similarly priced properties in the area from websites such as rightmove and primelocation.
Above all, don't get discouraged!ISO0 -
I totally agree that I would change agents. I have sold 2 old cottages and about to buy my 3rd. Primelocation is the only website I use. Hamptons International are fantastic around here. You need to find out which agents will work for your property. The fees are not really the most important point. Will they sell your property at a good price in a short time.
Good luck.

Sack your agent!
It might be a lovely house but from the description it is no surprise that it hasn't sold. With the current presentation there is no way I would bother to view that house when there are so many nice terraces on the market in the same area for less. It needs re photographing and some proper details drawing up asap.
Good Luck, selling from a distance is not easy

Having looked at the Fish 4 website, the proeprty does appear to be over priced compared to others that have sold or are currently for sale. Is your chosen agent the best one for the area the property is in?0

TOTALLY agree. I cannot stand all these people moaning about not selling their houses which are desperately overpriced. What you really mean to say is 'I am selling a house and no mug will pay my valuation'0
