DoYouSpain - Car Hire

We are off to Spain in December and will be hiring a car. We normally use Carjet, and have never had any problems. However, they won't quote that far ahead.
I have had a very good quote from DoYouSpain for the car we want. Has anyone had any experience of them, good or bad? (I presume they are consolidators, like Carjet.)

I've used DoYouSpain and Carjet. Both are consolidators.
Where are you going though? I've found Record Rentacar (actual car hire company) to be cheaper than either of them recently.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
We will be collecting at Alicante airport. I've got quotes for £85 for a Clio, and £130 for a Berlingo, both with aircon, for 9 days.0

When I've checked, DoYouSpain (and Argus) always seem to be about the same rates as Carjet. (We use Alicante too.)
But I can never get cheap rates from Record. For instance, a week in October with Carjet is €105 for a Clio. Record want €154!!!
I wouldn't think December will sell out quickly. Why not wait for Carjet rates - they should be released soon.
Also, when you have booked, keep an eye on the rates. I've just had to get Carjet to reprice hires in September and October as they had reduced since we booked.0 -
Seems to depend upon the airport with Record, although if you book late, all the rates are about the same.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0

I have used Record direct in the past for Tenerife with reasonable prices, however, I used DoyouSpain recently from Alicante and rates were excellent, they used Centauro Cars. I tried them again for Tenerife in October for seven days on a Clio with A/C and got a quote for €138.95 all in. Then checked Record who wanted €171.25 so I booked with DoyouSpain, guess what, I pick the car up from Record so it pays to check them all out.0
