Washing machine manufacters

I am trying to find a guide I once read on here telling you which big brands ie Zanussi etc make the cheaper washing machines.
I need it asap as my mother in law is about to leave the house to buy one & I want to help her save some money!
Can anyone point me in the direction???

Weve had our Bosch washing machine for over 11yrs now, with our growing family it coped brilliant, now its just hubby & I and its still going strong. It was a few pounds more than the Hover, Hotpoint machines, but had those and they were always needing attention.
Our good old Bosch is as still going strong after 11yrs & guess what? It's never once seen an engineer, what gr8 service, yes? We would'nt buy any other than Bosch now, NEVER!0
