where are you flying from, and are you looking at direct flight from london or going Moneysaving with flying via europe?
ive flown UK - NRT on quite a few airlines (JAL, ANA, Virgin - a while ago, Air France, Lufthansa, KLM) so i will be able to help... although to be fair i found all economy seats are more or less the same.
Entertainment wise, ANA and VIRGIN was the best with TV AVOD (Audio Visual On Demand) allowing fast foward, rewind, pause, play, etc on movies unlike JAL and AIR FRANCE which you had to wait for a movie to start, etc. KLM and Lufthansa didnt have TV on each of the economy seat, although i believe KLM has now got them installed on their new planes that they're using for Amsterdam - Tokyo route.
but let me know what route you're doing in more detail and i'll try and help

Going from London - prob. direct. Thinking about Air Nippon?0

Im assuming you're talking about All Nippon (ANA) - Air Nippon operates domestically I think and now owned by ANA - . It is one of the best ive experienced and probably my number 1 choice although I would like to try other airlines and its on the expensive side compared to the likes of Air France and Lufthansa. their staff are friendly so they should be able to assist you with your baby as well.
Also they're a member of Star Alliance - if you have loyality card with any of the SA airlines then you can collect miles when you travel with them.
and they're now located in the newly refurbished terminal 1 of Narita airport which is better of the two terminals. their range of shops are great before the security although after the security control there arent a big range of shops that you may be used to like at LHR.0 -
Thaks for that. Now all i have to do is find somewhere to stay that won't cost a second mortgage for two adults and three kids!0

Thanks for the tourist tips - brilliant!
Well, I'm happy to pay around £100 a night, so $109 looks like a bargain to me! But then again there are five of us.
Considering booking one business class seat on All Nippon and the rest economy so (one) baby can go upfront with adult and get some rest/lay down on bigger seat? The rest of the family would be in economy. Is this a good idea or just a silly one?0 -

Perhaps everybody in premier economy on BA or Virgin might be better?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
