I use photobucket for my extra photos on ebay and haven't had a problem yet.

thanks soo
thoug i better check before i did!
i didnt want ebay to get funny about it!!0 -
You don't really want to add a link as such. You want to add the photo taht is linked i.e the photo appears on the page automatically. Hope that explanation makes sense.
I am pretty poor at html but use front page to do most of my listings using a very basic template that I just sustitute the photo pages and text in for each new listing. If you can't do it yourself get someone to make a page and run you through how to cut and paste the links etc. and bobs your uncle.
Easy eh....but seriously it won't take you too long to get to grips with it.0 -
Hintza, thanks for the clarification. I'm no techie so probably explain it all wrong, but my listings don't have a link, they just have extra photos. Photobucket actually supply the HTML and I just cut and paste it and add it to the auction description, and voila!I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. ive added the actual link into my description, so how do i just get the picture to appear and not the link!!
please help lol!!!0 -
I'd give up and just start using www.Auctiva.com instead, all the photos are free and supersized, you don't need to send your photos to be hosted elsewhere, it's all on one page - dead easy and I'm not remotely techi, not in the slightest!0

If you added the link in by using the ebay HTML editor when you created your listing, instead of doing
<A HREF="http://www.photobucket.com/link_to_image...." >text here to describe link</a>
you would do
<IMG SRC="http://www.photobucket.com/link_to_image" />
Any questions, just ask

i just added the link to my item description, is this wrong!
will i get told off lol0 -
There's no rule against linking to pics, but it's much more convenient for potential buyers (and therefore probably more likely to entice them to bid) if the pictures are displayed on the listing. I use Turbo Lister (downloadable from eBay) to create listings with multiple Photobucket-hosted pictures. It's very easy to do without knowing anything about HTML (even for a technodunce like me!).0
