They are cutting jobs at DD2's nursery. Hers is the only guaranteed job at the same level and pay. Everybody else has to apply for jobs with less hours/levels of pay. She has to go in on Friday to talk with people who sre putting the plan together. A colleague rang to tell her that they are saying she must come back full time to keep job.

Maternity leave question. Do they have to have you back part time if that is what you want or can they insist on full time?

If she requests part time they have to consider it and have solid business reasons for declining the request. I can't see how, if tey are cutting the hours of others, they can justify refusing her request. I would suggest she talk it over with either someone at the job centre who can advise, or CAB, or her union rep if she's in one

I fell asleep in the bath:o Don't think I would have drowned but who knows how long I would've slept for if the cat hadn't shoved his cold nose in my face:eek: As it is I have a very wet book. Hoping it dries legible as its pretty much all the recreational reading material I have between me and my next library visit!
