Intermitting studies and council tax?

Hi, I have just completed my second year of university and I am now suspending my studies for the period of a year because I am expecting my second child in a few weeks.
I have just recieved a letter asking to confirm my student status for the purposes of council tax, and I know I have to tell them that I am intermitting but I'm not sure if this means I'm longer exempt from paying as I've read that those who intermit are classed as 'invisible'. Can anyone confirm this?

Ask your university if they can still give you the letter confirming student status for council tax purposes.0

I was intermitting and didn't pay council tax, if there are any difficulties then contact your student union and they should be able to fight your cause.
The only problem i had was i wasn't technically a student when i was changing courses for 3 weeks and they tried to make me pay £215 because of it but the student union managed to help me and sort it all out with the council0 -

Legally the council were correct to bill you.I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
