I would consider setting up a membership and renting them from sites if you get through them that quick!

    Hi guys,

As an avid gamer I tend to spend far too much money everything month feeding my habit lol!! I now need to save as much money as possible and wanted to know everyones thoughts on preowned games. I've never bought a preowned game before and just really wanted to know if many people buy them and whether or not they ever have any problems?

Also where is the best place to buy them?

    Thanks
I always buy pre owned. I trade with cex and game station.
gamestation tradeins are sometims lower then cex. but if you hand them a printout of cex's tradein they will beat it by £1.

tho sometimes its not worth the hassel of wasting paper and ink

I always buy preowned games if they're cheaper than new games (unless i'm very impatient and buy it on release day =X) and I have never had any problems, places like Game and Gamestation will offer you a great guarantee on preowned games anyway so if they're faulty, it's usually no problem (but I've never had a faulty preowned game before personally).

I've also bought plenty from ebay too, loads cheaper and usually they look as good as new anyway :D

I won't pay for a new game. I buy used games from ebay for a couple of pounds each.

I buy used games from ebay usually - its quite easy to pick up games cheaply if theres a few on auction. Once im done, ill either sell them again on ebay or sell them to https://www.tradeyourgames.co.uk

I save money by renting games first. I was fed up of shelling out for a game, playing it and finding out that I didn't like it. It annoyed the hell of out of me when I traded them back in for a fraction of the price. I've saved myself hundreds by renting games first and seeing If I like them. If I do I buy them preowned. If not, I send it back and get sent a new game through the post to test before I buy.

It costs me just under £10 a month for my film/game package but it has saved me a lot of money.

I thought about renting but then i like to have several games to play through when i get stuck on one, i move to the other and wasnt sure whether renting would offer that sort of flexibility..
