Washing Up

I fill half the sink with water from the hot tap till it is hot, then fill the other side of the sink with the now hot water. Add
dish soap, then add the silverware, cooking utinsels, plates, and cups. Any greasy pans I save for later. Wash dishes, silver, etc, rinse in luke-warm water in first sink, then air-dry. Wash and rinse the greasy pans next, adding more soap if necessary. Drain washing water, and use the rinse water to wipe up the sink and damp mop the kitchen floor.0 -
i put all the washing up in the sink. Add a good squirt of WUL then run the hot tap. Depending how dirty they are i give them about a 15 minute soak then i wash them before rinsing them in cold water (and no, ive never had a glass break in all the years ive been doing it this way). I rarely dry them, just leave them on the drainer to drain.

I try to conserve water and it takes too long to run through to hot, so I always boil a kettle with water from the `hot tap` to get the hot water. I do rinse every washed dish with a little clean tap water before placing to dry0
