Can you take the stripes off a new mini?

I have seen a damaged mini that my dad could fix but it has got those stripes on the bonnet and I don't like them. Does anyone know if these stripes can be removed?

    If they are vinyl, a hairdryer to heat up the glue and they should come off

    You had better check that they are not painted on though!
