I just know i am going to lose out on this - China sellers

Well, i normally have an okay dealing with ebay sellers and very little problems.

I saw a jacket i liked on there located in China, thought it looked genuine which it may well be. My first mistake 99p and £19.99 shipping. Fair enough, plenty of listed items, general good feedback from all angles.

First of all they don't send it when i paid for the item, a few days later i get an email asking if the size i asked for was correct (i had to put this in a message, i am hardly going to mess it up) but fair enough. Except more emails a few more days later! Here are the emails, will set it out as each email and my reply..
Seller : dear friends

Me: This is the 3rd time. I would like the Medium size, M size. Asia size M, Medium

Seller: ok if yout ell me the asia size M i know the size if you don't tell me the asia size M
i think that it is uk size M
i am very osrry for it

Well, so far i have had nothing, its been around a month and i know shipping can take a while but its getting rather annoying now. I have emailed the seller asking if the item has been shipped, no reply. I emailed again and still no reply.

I have opened a case in ebay and still no reply there and today is the 10th day so i have to respond with, if anything, what has hapened. No reply from them at all even though they are still trading and selling items on eBay. Today i sent them another message through one of their items for sale. No reply obviously.

I just know that if i am going to get a refund on this its going to be for a little 99p and i will lose out on £20! makes me sad :(

  • As long as you paid the whole amount through paypal you'll get the whole amount back.
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

Why would the refund only be for 99p? If you have a claim for item not received then you will get it all back.

But what do you mean it looked genuine? Genuine what?

You have only 45 days to lodge a PP dispute for item not received, so get cracking.

You will get back, your FULL purchase and postage price, WHEN you win.

I think the seller was trying to be helpfu and ensure you got the correct size. Asia sizes are tiny compared to UK sizes. Someone I know is a UK size 6 so I would call that XS and she said she needed L or XL back home in Asia.

  • Does look like youve been given the runaround unfortunately. Bit late I know, but mightnt it have been better to avoid any potential confusion with the S-M-L issue, and just tell them the size in inches ?

oh, i did not know that all had to be refunded, i did actually think that it would be just the item and it was one of the reasons why sellers sometimes sell the same item but put on one 99p BIN £19.99 shipping and the others £19.99 BIN 99p shipping. At least i know now :D

When i tried opening a dispute with paypal earlier it said that this type of item is not supported by paypal so it could not be opened ? Ebay case is still going on and the seller is slow timing. The seller agreed over email that they would refund me the money (in very bad english) if i emailed them the address i use for paypal ? anyway i sent it to them in the email, because of time differences i was asleep when the seller replied again asking if it was the right email address. I replied again to which i got ANOTHER reply in the middle of the night saying is it 100% the right email address! I sent one more email saying that for the 3rd time it was 'abc@abc.com' and it is correct, its the email address i use, it is this address 'abc@abc.com' which i use and the two times i have put it in this email and the other past emails is correct!

Please leave a neg for this seller when you get your refund, I wouldn't want to accidentally deal with them.

  • Aye the problem with buying clothing internationally is that the size given is rarely accurate for UK buyers. If I do buy from China / Japan I go for a M which is a slim fitting small / extra small.

Though I always try and buy from british sellers I did however get a small solar powered i-phone charger for £3 for china the other day which has been a godsend.

The words genuine and China don't really work in the same sentence

You only open 1 case an ebay or a paypal one. If you open a PP one after the ebay one it either refuses or closes it. The ebay case is linked to pp so there is little difference whichever one you open
