My hair is really straight and never took a curl no matter what I used , my hairdresser did my trial using her "new toy" which was a curling wand, it was amazing & I had curly hair all day, my bridesmaid was similar to yourself had a perm drop out the next day years ago, her hair was gorgeous and curly (can you tell how much I love my hairdresser?)
For my bday hubby & daughter got me this curling wand it's not the same one as my hairdresser used but it is fab, I couldn't believe what a good job I'd done. Last time I did it for a night out I had umpteen people come up and say may hair was lovely & curly.
So do see if it's something your hairdresser can do these wand thingy's are far better than the old tongs (that did very little for my hair).

My dress is elegant but i think rocky hair will work quite well as its simple on top - google sandra - berketex (name will be removed shortly so please dont quote) and i have been maried before and had that hair style that i dont want when i got married then, so i want something totally diferent and as far away from that style as possible, plus i always go clean and simple and i feel i want to branch out.

Providing i dont look like a prize pill0ck.

Its all about stretching your boundaries without feeling too on-the-edge... know what you mean about last time - I had mine in a very sweet pageboy last time, but my fringe was just too long so it kept parting like a pair of curtains!

I saw some hair curling wands and straighteners being demo'd in a shopping centre the arndale in manchester i think but they wanted £125 for them, i would love my hair to be that curly but cant justify that amount of cash to see if they last. herstylers perhaps - i cant remember the name.

I have had every tpye of curling brush and tong going, my first ourchase when i recieved my 1st ever oay packet when i was 15 was a gas cylinder braun curling ting.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T

Me too tried all sorts, the wand I've linked to only costs £25 though, maybe let one of the shopping centre crew do your hair to see if it works for you, then walk away & say I'll see if the curls last & maybe pop back then. free hairdo job done.

My hair is down to my bum and curly ~ I'd love to have it up, but I just have toooo much of it lol, so I'll be having it half up half down with soft curls.

We moved house last weekend, and the woman doing my hair only lives around the corner!

My hair's incredibly fine, poker straight but a helluva lot of it! Has never held a curl before when I've done it with straightners etc - but the hairdresser managed to get it curled using GHDs, then in a pinned up bun kind of thing with the curls loosely all bundled together at the nape of my neck - and it all stayed put for the day despite it chucking it down with rain, me running back and forward to the hotel on the sea front so getting caught in the wind.

I'd just forewarned her how my hair tends to behave (and mine's shoulder length too - that's all the length they need to get it up).

We were however running sweepstakes with the best man all day to see just how many hair grips we found in my hair when I removed them all... 67 was the final count but it stayed put! Had to do the whole thing without a hair trial too since was getting married 150 miles away.
