from memory i have had loans in the past that had PPI included, my problem is they are now all settled and i have no documentation that i can check up on:mad:
I was wondering if i wrote to the companies and asked for copies of old agreements would i have any chance of getting them?
any advice appreciated.
would i get the adresses i need from the list here?

Hello there
Yes try to get hold of them to request for any of your details, agreements etc, although you may be required to enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment, and they should send by 12 days of request.
However, this may also depend how old the finance is.
Normally if the account is still running there is no problem with them sending your agreement but if you don't ask you will never know.;)
It makes no difference if your account is still active or settled, if mis sold the PPI then your entitled to make a reclaim.
However, just as long as you have the account numbers and aware you were paying out for PPI, you can still make a reclaim.
If the loans were taken out the last 6 years, then check any old banking statements, if the loan repayments were made out of your account you bank with now, then you may be able to track down the account number this way, or even if you bank online which should also allow you to go back 6 yrs.
The account number would be shown next to the monthly loan repayments.
Another way to retrieve your information would be to request a Subject Access Request (SAR) they have 40 days to comply/send everything they hold on you, you enclose £10 postal order or cheque payment for this one, and personally I would post by recorded delivery to have proof of your posting.
A SAR letter template here with details:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1475553
If you have no account number to add on the SAR, then give them as many details as possible, such as your full name, if surnames have changed since the loans, write your date of birth, addresses and so on.
May I ask if the loans were with your bank?
If so then they may be able to let you know the info by calling in to your local branch, and if you request a SAR from your bank then write your account number for the bank, so they can send ALL they hold on you, which would include them sending you your information of loans you have taken etc.
I can check the addresses you require then also.
Hope this helps you.
Ask for further help if required, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"
