My sis in US has got me ipods as gifts and they worked in UK without any problems. I myself purchased an ipod 160Gig via ebay (brand new from US) and its worked. Likewise with a Creative Zen a few years earlier.
Even had a ipod Nano once from US (via sis) and worked fine.

Sort of things to avoid getting from US include the iphone and PSP (naughty Sony slap).

PS You do need proper power US to UK adapters for ipods. They usually come with the ipods but avoid cheap imitations.

Yes it will work. The only thing that could be different with iPod is USB port and that's universal. You're safe. :)

There's no technical problems, just remember there is a limit on the value of gifts that can be brought in without incurring tax. In terms of the warranty, you'd have to check the small print, there may be something in there that invalidate the warranty if used outside the country if was purchased in (though I can't imagine why)

    Rubbish !!

Apple warranty is worldwide . you can take your Ipod to local apple store or send by post to Apple UK for repair .

I purchased our Ipod classics in Denver CO Apple store and have had zero problems .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
