help fitting new seal to washing machine

please help, trying to fit new seal to indesit machine. got to put seal round inner rim then putting band on . please help thanks:beer: any tips

    thank you sorry for delay
    we have got old seal off ok, it is just putting the new one on the inner rim and then securing it with the elasticated band - the air vent on our model seems to be too close to the drum. we are just about ready to give up now, have been working on it on and off for 6 hours. :(
    it just looks so easy in the video :( we have taken top off machine but we are reluctant to take front of in case we dislodge wiring. any tips gratefully recieved !

    if you're having bother stretching seal over rim, a smear of washing up liquid around seal will help.

    if you're having bother stretching seal over rim, a smear of washing up liquid around seal will help.
    Very poor advice, the salt in the washing up liquid will degrade the seal over time and cause it to leak. Better to use hand soap or similar if you really need to, although with most machines fitting the seal isn't particularily hard.
