KS2 SATS Tests

The SATs are to assess how well the teahcers teach NOT the childs capabilities!!!
When the childrengo to hih school for most of the children their paperwork won't have got there yet so they are just plonked in groups. Once there they do the CATs test (cognitive ability tests) and are banded on these results.
The SATs are really NOT worth getting yourself or your son worked up about.. if the children don't do as well as they are predicted it is a sign the teacher needs to improve their teaching methods not that a child is less able.. the children only learn what they are taught, if they aren't taught something they cannot be expected to know it.
Level 4 is average so perfectly acceptable anyway.
