I Have A Problem

I am currently a customer with RBS with a student account with OD and have a savings acc with them. I applied for an interest paying current account with them, but they seem to always refer my applications to the "lending department" for a decision, I have tried almost every bank to get there most basic account and I keep being refused.

I know the most basic account dont do a credit search but only an ID check. So i have no idea why i am being declined is there anyway i can find a reason that banks have to decline me.

Your student account is a current account. Why do you want another one?

Also, the "basic bank account" which does not do a credit search is a RBS Key Account, not their Interest Paying Current Account.

I wanted it to pay bills and so etc.

My problem is I keep getting refused for a basic account with no credit facilities with every bank .

Have you asked them?

you need to inform this to the higher authorities of the bank ..... you have the rights to know why they are restricting you to have an account ......
