I think the main price difference is when you buy them new.
If you are buying secondhand, you get it back when you sell.
I have had a petrol and a diesel COLT, and the running cost is lower on the diesel, due to lower road tax and better fuel economy. Same one year service interval, same insurance group, same everything else. The only big ticket item that is different is the turbo on the diesel.0 -

That has to be a super sexy bargain price right?
There's absolutely nothing on the tinternet close to that price for that spec.
Long distance driving in a car that size?
You'll hate it the first time you do.0 -

My neighbour drives an A4 but had to drive down to the SW (from Yorkshire) in his wife's Yaris and was raving about it when he got back.0 -
I would want to know exactly what was damaged.
Its very unlikely a 2009 car would be Cat D registered for a dent in the boot which would cost less than a thousand pounds to fix at dealer rates0 -
If its cat D then the damage was sufficient for it to be unviable to repair. Assuming that it was worth 10 K I believe that that they would have repaired it up to 6K ish so in my mind thats not a dent to the boot.
I also think that water damage is classed as a cat d - any flooding in your area?
Dont know if HPI could elaborate on it, or maybe even toyota if it went back into there dealer network0 -
