Refund of apr difference after ppi refinance

Halifax/bank of scotland have upheld my case for misseling of my ppi which is great news.:T Although I had another complaint from when i refinanced the loan 1 and a half years ago to get rid of the ppi. The apr went up from 7.9 to 9.9 for the new loan. has anyone had any luck getting the apr brought down to the previous apr and a refund of the overpayment. As we shouldn't get penalised for having to refinance? sorry if this has been previously answered i couldn't find it anywhere.

The bank has said they would pass this complaint to another department which i thought was strange!

look forward to hearing your thoughts
thanks
ash

I had a reply from halifax/BOS today. Not only have they repaid the ppi which was a sum of £781 for the refund of premiums, refund of interest of 7.9% from my loan and an extra 8%, so very happy with that. And on top of this they have also agreed to pay me a lump sum to make up for the higher apr I am paying now since i had no choice but to refinance my loan. So they are paying a lump sum of around £500 pounds of my current loan which is the cash difference of the 2 over the term of the loan.

Thanks very much from everyone for all the help i have had from this forum
