Egg PPI reclaim won but still waiting on money

Hi Guys,

I didn't know if anyone else had the same experience as me. I took Egg to the Ombudsman for Miss selling PPI to me and they rules that I was right and Egg needed to pay me back. It has now been four months and have not heard anything from Egg about them paying me back. I just wondered if anyone else had had this with Egg and how long it took to get their money back?

Hi and first of all well done:beer:

I believe it have been the same for others, I know LLoyds can be just as bad, its been almost 5 momths now and he is still waiting for his refund, also resolved through the FOS.
However, the FOS will chase this up for you even if the case is now closed, so worth contacting them if you have not done so yet.

You could always try to find out who the Chief Exectutive Officer (CEO) is of EGG and contact him by email if its possible.

I would try ringing Egg first in case they have not received your acceptance form from the FOS. Is it a loan and is it current or paid up? If it is current they might have credited the refund to your loan account.

If they just haven't dealt with it, then as Di says give the FOS a ring and ask them to chase it up, 4 months is unacceptable and Egg have recently been paying out within 2 weeks.

Many Thanks everyone I will give them a chase, I didn't know if I was being unfair. It was a loan that is now on my DMP.

If it is in a DMP then it has more than likely been credited to the loan account. Do you still have on-line access to your loan and can you check whether your balance has reduced substantially?

I am battling to get a refund of payments from Egg pid directly to me (with FOS for the last year) and I don't have any arrears.

They should have let you know what they have done with the refund. Good luck!!

I do have on-line access and nothing has changed! I did have a really long battle with Egg and they ended up looking very bad. They told me they lost the phone convo and then when the Ombudsman looked into it the cover they had put on didn't even cover what they said I had to have it for - encase I lost my job! silly silly!

Then i would start by giving Egg a call and if no help, get hold of the FOS asap to follow up for you.

Thanks for everyone for their messages - I called them and they had conveniently over looked my letter for the refund from the FO! They are sending out a cheque for comp and the rest will go straight off my loan!
