I would just go in with the wage slips he has by then or the contract of employment if he doesn't have any by then, along with 3 months worth of wage slips.

  • They do take the tax credits into account - I did my exemption last week. They are pretty strict on having the correct paperwork for the exemption.

It was annoying as he was automatic exemption due to his income based jsa, and because im working allbeit 10 hours a week had to provide everything.

If you think you are eligible for the exemption, if you can pay the fees on the day and you apply for a refund when you get all the paperwork together.

You dont want to re-arrange a date now as in April the fees go up by £90.00.

    really?
  • Yep, the or's fee goes from £360 to £450 but the court fee remains the same. I know this because we were going to re-arrange my hubby as we went br last week, and if we had, it would have cost us another £90 for him!! We begged his mum for the money to make sure he didnt pay the extra!!!!!
