will i get an exemption on the court fee?

I have my date this friday and i only have £360 saved up.

Im abit concerned as my partner was made redundant and so was i so we were both claming jsa for a year. Last week he has started working again but is earning about 800 a month.

We are still claiming housing benefit/ct benefit as im still not working i am unable to claim jsa as my partner is working.

we are eligiable for working tax credits but i have just put my application form in for it will i be exempt from paying the full 500 or so?

No. If you are not on income based JSA or any other benefit other than HB/CTB and TCs then you won't be eligible for the waiver.

You can sometimes get a waiver based on income... see below

Have a look at charities who may be able to offer grants. The royal british legion for example are very generous and will offer help to people wishing to go bankrupt where someone in their family has worked for the armed forces.
Check out http://www.turn2us.org.uk for details of charities

Any family who can lend you the money?

Dependant on how many children you have you may be eligible for the waiver, however check whether your WTC/CTC would be classed as income.

Call the court. They should happily tell you if you're eligible. You should be, dependant on your tax credit income and whether they class this as income.
