    The other thing with hydrogen:

    Although it will give you a potentially bigger bang than petrol (depending on fuel/air ratios etc) there are concerns that hydrogen may have corrosive effects on some engine componants - so definatly worth bearing in mind. ;)

    Incidentally, I'm of the belief that subject to a suitable means of extraction being found that hydrogen does have the potential to be the fuel of the future either through fuel cell applications or just plain simple combustion.

    You can save a ton if you DIY a fuel cell. These fuel cells are fun to make, and with a good set of how to plans are easy to install. When you couple your fuel cell output with ways to control your fuel ratio, your really getting the best bang for your buck.
