we have a dog box which we transport him round in, for the car, its the same size as a trailer would be but without the wheels. we dont obviously want to spend 180 quid, i wonder how we could adapt the box so that we can just hook it to the bikes with wheels on and take it along behind us, it seems a waste to buy something which we've sort of nearly already got?

i really need it for days like today. im going to try a new route but it will be too long for him, so im not taking him, which is a shame because he would love half of it.

but he would be heavy to pull along, but its good for my fitness! hes probably a few pounds over weight, about 3 or 4, he's noticibly slimmer now since being on the light food.

I have to say that as I am fat and wobbly and DS2 has juvenile arthritis we never cycle more than about 4 miles with lots of stops, so overdoing it is not an issue for my working terrier! :)

We got both of them in the UK at different times. I think one came from a stand at Crufts (quite a few years ago) and I can't remember where we got the other one . I will ask OH if he remembers when he gets home - I may be some time though :D.

Are you genuinely wanting to get one then - or are you just curious?? I'm only asking before I go digging around trying to find all my old Crufts catalogues and checking all the lists of stallholders ;).

I cycle a lot so it would be ideal to exercise a dog on my routes, not to work though as thats 12 miles a day lol :D

Well neither of us could remember where we got ours (other than it was at Crufts about 10 years ago) but I found this ... http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shopzilla_uk/-7057/shop/dogs/dog_toys_dog_training/dog_bicycle_baskets/biking_leads/13166#more

It seems like a really good price as ours were more than that years ago.

    Hope this helps :D.
