Help - need a bumper, cheap as chips?
Options
Hi
Wondering if someone can help. I bought a little old banger this week - a Nissan Sunny 1.6 for a bargain price. It is in fab condition for age and now here comes the BUT. The passenger side wing damaged and the front bumper patched together with gaffer tape. It has a new MOT, so these faults are not going to affect that.
The old chap who sold me the car said the garage said it would be £400 for a new wing and bumper approx.
Not worth doing. More than the car cost.
The botched up filling job on the wing does not bother me, so much as the gaffer taped bumper!
Can anyone suggest where I might buy a spare cheap and also what do you think a mobile mechanic might charge to just put it on??
Any advice really appreciated.

If you can't find one localy, you could try http://www.breakerlink.co.uk/
Or another option is eBay, where you might mave more succsess than online breakers.
As for fitting look in the yellow pages for garages whose advertisments target people who are paying for their own repairs, I found one when my old nova had simular damage to your car, they quoted £200 to supply, paint and fit a new wing and front bumper, the other garages I tryed, who did insurance work, were quoting almost £500.0
