Well im a rare case, trust me when I say this.
Every time the cold air hits my face while sleeping, I get a cold.
When im warm at night, I never get a cold.
Electric blankets wont do as its the actual air that gets cold and as I dont like using the quilt over my head, my face gets really cold.
Which ones from argos would you recommend.
I can raise my budget if I need to?0 -

Item number 052/2784 "Winterwarm 2Kw convector heater". I have 4 of these round the house, however looking at the spec the only difference between these and the ones I have is the ones on Argos appear to have a hi/lo heat switch as well as a thermostat. They are not exempt from the 16 day returns policy so if you don't get on with it you should be able to return it for a refund.
They are £27 so within your budget
I have mind professionally installed and wall mounted but one of these plugged into your wall socket in your bedroom should be ok. If you want multiple heater on the same floor consult an electrician as you may overload the ring main.
They are quite lightweight so make sure you don't put it close to anywhere it can be easily knocked over and obviously do not cover the heater with anything.
If you want to heat a room quickly plug it in and turn the thermostat up to full. When the room is the temp you want it turn the thermostat down until it just "clicks off". The heater will then click on and off to maintain the room temp.0 -
I tried one with a "boost fan" but found the fan switching on and off with the thermostat annoying. The heater I tried with a boost fan was about as loud as a hair dryer.0
