Msn problems-help please!

I cant seem to get my msn to work! I can sign in but none of my contacts are appearing as available and i know they def are. My friend who is online trying to talk to me says im showing as available but cant talk. I think it's something to do with my laptop upstairs but ive tried sigining out of there and siging back in on my pc but it's still showing that i cant talk to anyone? Hope someone can help please i dont make much sense so i hope you understand what im talkin bout thankyou

Have you perhaps filtered your online/offlince contacts? Are you showing as "currently offline"?0
