Royal Mail grrrr

I have had enough of Royal Mail now.
I always liked to send out quotes the 'old fashioned' way, by post, as I think it looks professional and then our customers has a hard copy without having to print it out.
Now though, having found out that approximately 50% of the post I sent out last month did not arrive, I am going to do my best to NOT send anything by post from now on. My quotes and invoices will be going by email wherever possible. I will hand deliver if necessary.
The only reason I found out that post didnt arrive was that a customer called to say they hadnt received the quote. So I rang everyone I had sent mail to - almost half hadnt received anything.
My OH spends 3 nights a week out quoting. Thats up to 10 hours spent trailing round peoples houses - AND FOR WHAT??? half of those people will think that he just can't be bothered to send a quote!! not to mention my time preparing and typing them up - all WASTED.
I am absolutely fuming. Royal Mail I hope you are satisfied - you will have less to do now. Idiots.

There's a reason people use e-mail
- faster
- cheaper
- less impact on the environment (both paper and Royal Mail fuel)
- it's easy to lose a letter but an e-mail can be taken out of the deleted folder
- gives the impression that your company is modern and current rather than antiquated
Seems like the Royal Mail have added one more thing to the list0 -

I agree - most people are happy with emails.
A lot of our customer are elderly and I know that they prefer 'real letters' - however I will hand deliver them rather than using RM from now on.
How dare they not deliver the letters that I have paid to send??? where are these letters??? I am so angry :mad:0 -
I have so many bad experiences with the Royal Mail, they are shockingly poor these days.
I had to collect a packet from there a few weeks ago (signed delivery), I went in a gave them my slip and the guy come back with a wrecked packet covered in dirt and foot print on it ! the contents (I glass 'Ice' mouse mat) was destroyed, you could hear all the broken glass rattling about, the guy just laughed at he tossed it on the counter !! idiots !
Last week I was on my way to work and I see a post man getting mail out of the secure 'drop boxes' they have dotted about the town and he basically took the sack of mail and tipped it all over the floor in the mud and puddles (it was raining) ..... one bundle landed straight in the middle of muddy mess and he waddled over and booted it out !!!0
