Trying to sell, advice required

I'm after some impartial advice about a dilemma I have:
I have had my house on the market since just before Christmas, selling it to move in with my partner so there is no onward chain, and in theory no hurry, however I have already mentally moved out. I’ve had a few viewings but none recently. I have been informed by the EA that a FTB couple who viewed are really interested and will probably put in an offer close to the asking price, but haven’t done so yet because they are trying to sort out a mortgage and 'a few other things' although I'm not sure what those are. However, they have been ‘about’ to put in an offer for approximately a month and i'm getting fed up with waiting.
I’m prepared to drop the price of the house to try and get more viewings but I haven’t done so yet because I didn’t want to drop the price just before this couple put in an offer. Should I hold off and wait for an offer that might not come, or is it better to just drop the price, hope for more viewings, and try and forget about the money that I might lose if they do put in an offer after the asking price has been lowered?
Thanks for any advice you can give to help me make up my mind.

Ring back and see whether they still are.
Then kick the EA for not bringing in more viewers.

I would contact the EA and ask them to tell the potential FTB's that you need to know if there is any interest as you're thinking of giving the whole thing a break and taking your house off the market for a while. This may be able to stir them into making a decision or at least finding out what their situation is.
I wouldnt drop it in price whilst you potentially have a buyer, they will definately snap it up but you could just easily be throwing money away for no reason. Find out the situation before actingMFW - <£90kAll other debts cleared thanks to the knowledge gained from this wonderful website and its users!0 -
Probably? Close? Doesn't look real to me, may be the EA's dream. Ask the EA how close, and think about dropping the price a little (just 1K?) to encourage viewingsI have been informed by the EA that a FTB couple who viewed are really interested and will probably put in an offer close to the asking price0 -
I wouldn't take the EA's word for it.
No offer means EA still needs to sell it - nothing's changed. They need to keep pushing your property and bring more viewers in.0
