Is it a good idea to be pushing it this close anyway? I guess if you have other ways of getting hold of some money quickly if anything unforeseen happens then it is ok. We have decided to wait a while to move house as getting the LTV we want would leave us with only 5-10k savings left. I thought this was too close.0

Thanks for the advice - I am sticking £1000 from overdraft in and will show them proof them, will have another £2000 coming into account on day of exchange, so will pay deposit now and have £1000 to tide me over until contracts at end of April and then £2000 on day contracts complete
Yeah, had planned contingency but used it all up - and sticking bit extra in deposit to bring deposit % up and get a better rate for mortgage0
