EBAY HELP asap

Hi,

Recently one of my laptop keys were broken. I can not fix it because the clip has broken.

So I decided to look on ebay for one because samsung wanted £50.

I found a shop on ebay that sells them so I bought one, I have sent my postal order well OVER a week ago (first class).. I have emailed the shop to ask where my item is. They say they havent recieved my payment.

What do I do now? Is there anything I can do??.. If they say they haven't recieved the payment of £3.49

Hope someone can help, thankyou.

  • Sorry not much experience with Ebay, I use to always have problems that's why I switched to Amazon.
  • Maybe thet really haven't received the payment. Did you send it recorded delivery? With a signature to confirm it has been received?

Not sure what you can do in this case? As it will be your word against the sellers.
Maybe consider using paypal in the future at least that way you are covered.

check with the post office. I always thought that there was a way of making sure postal orders were safe, you know, as an alternative to sending cash through the post, isn't that the whole point of postal orders???
Check with them first and see where you stand.

If you call the post office on 08457 223 344 they will be able to confirm if the postal order has been cashed or not

Isn't it cheaper, less haassle and more reliable/traceable to pay for these low cost things by Paypal?

Obviously it is but you need a bank account or credit card to get a PayPal account and not everybody has these.
The Treasury's Financial Inclusion taskforce has put the number of 'unbanked' in the UK as 1.75m. This includes many retired people or those below the age at which National Insurance is payable.
