Can anyone help.........
renting house with partner. 12 month contract (big mistake).
His name on tenancy only, even though I found house, contacted estate agent and land lady myself. Landlady knows I reside in the house and will for the full contract. I paid the estate agent fee's of £100 he paid nothing. I paid half deposit and half first months rent.
We share rent and bills equally.
We have split up, only two months in to agreement. My decision. He's told me to leave as it "his house".
Is this correct, can he do that?
I have an oral contract with the land lady, does that count for anything?
I've paid half of everything from the start, does that count for anything? or because my name isnt on the tenancy can he just throw me out?
Please help me as I have no where to go or certainly wont for a while so need to know where I stand. Anyone got any ideas?

I think you will need to go to the Citizens Advice Bureau for advice, as it seems pretty complicated. Take all the information with you, and they will be able to assist. If not you could try Shelter. But am pretty sure someone will be along with some better and more detailed advice soon .Good luck0

Your partner is the tenant with all the rights and responsibilities that entails: you are a permitted occupant but once the tenant wants you to leave you are not permitted anymore. You can leave without having the responsibility for paying the rent until the end of the contract whereas your partner cannot. Why won't you have anywhere to go for a while? Look on https://www.spareroom.co.uk and take temporary accommodation as a lodger.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

If you made the decision to split up did you really think that you could remain living in a property when you are not the official tenant? I can't imagine why you didn't anticipate needing to leave.
Have you no friends who could offer you somewhere temporarily? If not, do as Fire Fox advised and find somewhere on spareroom0 -
I'd kick you out as well if you wanted to leave me but just stay in the house. You have no legal obligations and no rights. I'd start looking or sort something out.0

can you prove what you paid?
Get down to the council and register as emergency homeless. You've effectively been made homeless by him asking you to leave.0
