Hi All,

My car is going in for a service next week. When topping up the oil is it ok to top with any brand of oil. Say the garage uses Mobil and i top up with Castrol - Would that be ok?

    Not really a problem, better to have miss matching oil than low oil.

    What you want is the right grade of oil ie 10w-40 or what ever is recommended for your car.

    no need to worry .... engine oils for cars are specially designed for certain purposes may be their life time differs but don't fill it with 2T oils....... it will cause problems...............
