It may not be great service but I do think your being slightly OTT

    A few points
Who valets a car the day before an MOT?
If you leave your MOT to last minute you cant expect repairs done before the MOT runs out?
Yes they may have forgot seat protectors but then I'm sure a main dealer wouldnt have and then charged you £200 for the work.

Overall I dont think a 3 day wait for a repair, a bit of dirt and the car being parked in a cul de sac is the end of the world and whilst not common isnt unheard of for a small garage.

She can clean her car anytime she wants
Minor repairs, yes I do expect them to do it seeing as the part can even be delivered to them same day (its not a big job to change a gaitor)
Car should be treated with respect, its not their property, and should not be left illegaly parked away from the garage, after all if something happened to it whilst in the care of the garage you would expect the garage insurance to cover it.

Seems like very poor service, if the OP requires recommendations of Glasgow garages with decent service then I would be happy to oblige.

if the car is too dirty the inspector can refuse to MOT it due the condition of the vehicle.
i usually clean my car before MOT time, it shows i take a bit of pride and look after it, i also usually have the brake drums off and adjust the handbrake and pait the drums with high temperature paint ( in black) and some other suspension parts at the back, it shows you've been there recently so theres less chance of them trying to rip you off.

if they won't use seat protectors tell them they must remove thier overalls when entering the cabin area of your car. if they don't you will make a complaint to VOSA about the state of your car after MOT. its not just main dealers who use seat protectors, indipendants use them aswell.

Maybe I'm best off not naming the garage at this stage, after all I really will need to go back this one last time.

let us know after its fixed then.
