Vanquis credit card direct mail

I had a letter (read: junk mail) from Vanquis credit card company, complete with much envelope decoration about how I've been preselected for a credit card.
Normally I just chuck them in the bin - but I was rather annoyed to see that the application form had my name and address pre-printed in them. I'd have thought that a pretty stupid thing to do, as there'll probably be people who do just chuck the thing straight in the bin. They might as well leave a note "Dear Criminal, I've done most of the work for you, you just need to forge my signature. Enjoy your credit card, Love Esqui xx"
I didn't even see anything that said they'd need to see proof of ID (though, surely, they must do?)
And the APR as well....40%!!
