Would We Get A Better Deal If We Switch?
Hi All
We have our Gas and Electric supplied on a Dual Fuel fixed tariff (Nov 11) and from what we're hearing we could possibly get a better deal. I've put our consumption below:
Gas from 15/03/09 - 01/03/10 we consumed 7779 KWH we pay 7.203p for the first KWH and then 3.632p for the next KWH
Electric from 15/03/09 - 01/03/10 we consumed 2851 KWH we pay 23.646p for the first KWH and then 11.756p for the next KWH
We will be penalised £100 for leaving early but if the saving is greater then it would be well worth it.
So is there possibly a better deal out there for us, any comments and feedback would be greatly appreciated!
Many Thanks
Ian & Nikkei

Prices vary according to where you live, and you don't say who provides your gas and electricity.
Those prices seem very high for a tariff that has a early leaving penalty. You will also probably get dual fuel and direct debit discounts applied to your bill - that can make a big difference.
You should just enter your details in a comparison website(like energyhelpline - see top of page) and that will give you full answers to your questions.
You also have very low gas consumption and below average electricity.0 -
