Dishwasher trouble, please help!

My dishwasher is about a year old, lately the dishes have been coming out with a few stains still on them. Today the dishes are coming out as they went in, it looks as if they haven't even been touched with any water. Also the liquid tablets didn't disolve. I've cleaned the filters, the arm sprays but that's about my limit until my husband can have a look at it. It is filling up with water around the bottom and is draining the water, also the water is heating up fine. What's wrong with it?

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Have you tried runnning it empty or with a cleaner in? Have you cleaned out the filter at the bottom?

Hi, thanks for the reply. Yes done that but it's still not working. :(

I've looked at the troubleshooting section of the manual but that is useless, it doesn't say anything about dishes not being washed, it just says about stained dishes, but these aren't stained, they simply are not being washed. I tried the troubleshooting tip for that anyway, cleaning the filters etc I'm thinking one of the pipes are blocked but I haven't got a clue really. If water is going in and going out then how can it be that. By the way, it's also making a little bit of a noise, I don't know if that helps in diagnosing it's problem.

    Thanks again.

Mine did this twice and it was because of two reasons:
1st time: my water pipe had frozen- had to warm the pipe up SLOWLY so it didn't burst i did this by wrapping a towel round it and slowly heating the room up

2nd time: because the waste pipe had got blocked. Had to take the waste pipe off and poke it through with a long coat hanger, then ran the machine through with a dishwasher cleaner.

Final time it broke I got a new one.

    Good luck with it :)

Thanks, the water pipes are not frozen and as far as I can tell the waste pipe isn't blocked either, surely that would mean the water wouldn't drain?

I forgot to mention that the end light is also flashing constantly and I've found a post on another site that says the dishwasher is thinking it's flooded :s
Think I will leave my husband to look at it when he gets in from work.

That's what mine did, which is why it won't put any water into the machine i.e. the waste pipe may have a small block somewhere where you can't see it. As soon as the level reaches a certain point it won't do anything until the drainage is fixed.

Hope it gets sorted. It was a b*gger to sort!

HaHa, that last edit made my search a bit easier..;)

I cant see much about that particular model but there is a good fault finding guide HERE, that may be some help.

As has already been said, It does sound like a blocked drain.

The Indesit site has PDF copies of the user trouble shooting manual HERE

You need to right click and save the manual to your desktop once you enter the model number.
