Anyone know why someone would ask me for my IP Address and is it safe to give it out?
Yeah I know - they want to get you banned, they must have a complaint against you.

There could be numerous reasons why someone will want to know your IP. As stated the main reason is hacker related or scammer related. The alternative reason could be remote assistance or remote desktop. You could have passed on a virus if you fileshare, which could be another user wanting to report you.
My advice is if its someone wishing to have remote access, use Skyfex.com which is quite safe. If its for other reasons, beware. If they are a good hacker they will get it anyway.
