Car Parking - South London on a Saturday?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a car park in South London where we can park for a set fee on a Saturday? The NCP car park at Hammersmith Grove charges just £3.70 for all day parking on Saturday. However, it would be an easier drive if we could drive up the A3 into South London and find somewhere there.

The intention is to park and then buy a tube pass for Zones 1-2 for the day.

Thanks!

Karen

I always use the Hammersmith one but I am very fond of scouting about looking for free parking. Putney used to have some spaces. Trouble is to be that close to a zone 1 or 2 you might have to walk a long way. Na can't think of any. Sorry no help. I have parked all over Chelsea and Earls Court. White City have a big car park. Roehampton has a bit of parking. Southfields too.
Don't think I was much use!!!!
    Tried my best!!

    Thanks CG,

Yes, I think you're right about having to walk a long way. After scouring my London A-Z & the NCP web site, the best I could come up with is an NCP at Buckhold Road in Wandsworth - nearest tube East Putney - all day parking on Sunday for £1.30 - not bad but about a mile to walk.

    Happy Bargain Hunting!

You could ask nicely at Whitelands College on Sutherland Grove. They may let you park there if you smile nicely. Used to know people there. Don't tell anyone though!!!:naughty: It is easy to walk to East Putney station from there! I know!!!!!

That's worth a go isn't it? We could always go to the NCP if they refuse!

    Thanks!

BTW - just out of interest - what do you mean by a "whole of the class teacher"?

Erm it is me being facetious. The Mortgage Advisors are going through a phase of changing their sigs. They are also very touchy about being seen to be posting for personal gain. They also change the colours of their sig to look less conspicuous. I am buying and selling houses at the moment. I have done this quite a few times now so post a bit on the threads. I am a client of one of them and sometimes wind them up a bit. It is like a soap opera on here sometimes!!
    So now you know.
Whitelands may have moved to Roehampton!!!Still worth a try.
