'The most generous CC rewards scheme in the UK'?

Hello,
I am a huge fan of loyalty cards/points, and also a Lloyds TSB customer. I would like to apply for their American Express CC - but is it really 'the most generous CC rewards scheme in the UK' (as they call it)?
I've searched on Moneysupermarket, and noticed this card is not in their top 5. 1300 points for a £10 high street voucher and no bonus activation points doesn't sound very appealing. However, I'm not an expert on rewards CCs, so I'd love to know what you think.:)
It appears to me there hasn't been much discussion on this CC. If there has, then sorry for asking once again.:A
Many thanks
P.S.: I pay off my CC balance in full each month.

I use Egg Money 1% payable as a credit to the account each March, and from time to time extra discounts with favoured retailers.
What I'm not sure with the card you describe is whether you have to pay a fee or post and packaging when you come to convert points to vouchers.0 -

Have you read this ? - http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?newsid1087717218,37843,
It should tell you all you need to know. Moneysupermarket does not always give the full picture when it comes to financing !!0 -

Thanks for your quick reply. I don't have much of a credit history, and what I've got so far is with Lloyds only. This is why I fear my application for an Egg card would not be successful:eek: - but of course, you never know until you try.
As for the fee/post and packaging costs, this is an issue I've never thought about - thanks for drawing my attention to it.'Into every abyss I still bear the blessing of my affirmation' (Friedrich Nietzsche)0 -
Hi exel1966,
And thanks for your reply. I've read Martin's article, but I think he refers to another type of Amex card - or maybe I haven't read it carefully enough?
Perhaps I should give it another read.'Into every abyss I still bear the blessing of my affirmation' (Friedrich Nietzsche)0
