    Hi All,

Thanks for all the useful replies. I'll have a closer look on Google and see what I can find.

The engine will prob stay on the boat, as it will be at least 40hp so will be difficult to remove at will.

The launching and recovery does concern me slightly, as the slipway I'm intending to use at Loch Lomond is quite steep. Might just have to investigate alternatives though.

    Cheers!
You could ask someone with a 4x4 nicely. :p

Catflea, I have no idea I was far too young to drive at the time, but I would certainly trust an old ford over a new citroen any day. :p

which slip are you using? i think one of the slips near balmaha has a guy with an old range rover who will glady dunk your boat in the water for a few quid, same to get it out again.
