Barium aka "The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms"

My local hospital used barium on me on Monday to take a few X-Rays only trouble is that nature has taken its course and now its in the loo.

Anyone know what shifts it? I have tried washing soda, bleach, hot water, borax, toilet duck and nothing works.......its sat in the loo like the beast from 20,000 fathoms..........

Does anyone know what shifts barium before I have to phone the MOD and ask if I can borrow a cup of Semtex or move house?

Stuart

Try a magnet  alternatively ring the Met and tell them you think a terrorist been in your toilet - they'll sharp be out to rip it off the wall :D
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

Had the same problem many years ago ..... when I lived at home.

.....left my Mum to sort it. That's what they're for isn't it?:o

On a more helpful note ....plastic gloves! You can shove the offending items (are they still small and sound like depth charges?) round the bend ... or think nice thoughts and withdraw them? Personally ....I'd push.;)
If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !

Assuming you've been given a barium meal (barium sulphate).....

Basically the stuff can't be dissolved quickly by anything except a few types of exotic industrial acids. Physically scraping the stuff out is probably your only option I'm afraid.
