Quick question - how long do cheques last for? Just found a cheque that is a year old and i lost it?
6 months- if over a year old just ask person who sent it to write you another one

A solution to the OPs problem would be to use internet banking to set up a one-off payment on the account scheduled for whatever date in the future.

  • Thank you Raksha and Student100.

I haven't used internet banking much, and did not realise I could set up payments for bills to be set for the future. Hopefully this way I will remember to pay the bills and have enough funds in my current account!
