I was wondering if anyone had used parcelforce before?
I have, today, booked a couple of collection/deliveries. Parcelforce 48 cost £12.85 (roughly) for a 5.5 Kg pkg. That included £150 compensation for loss/damage insurance. Tracking available. Pick up from my door, didn't seem too bad to me.
I was wondering if anyone else had used their service and 'how was it for you'?

I've used them a few times with no problems - the tracking service works ok, but it's not as immediate as UPS's - doesn't update on-line. I think I found PF cheaper at the time, though pricing has changed. You'll also find it about 1/3 cheaper if you can deliver packages direct to your local PF office - mine's the local Royal Mail local sorting office - better if you have a few items to do at the same time.0

Cheers Tallymanjohn, I didn't know about taking to the local pf office. I never noticed it mentioned on the web site. I'll check that out.
ps I've known a few tallymen in my time.0 -
Try using https://www.parcels4delivery.com
They dont let you know the name of the courier when you request the collection but on all occassions Ive used them it has been Parcelforce who turn up. So you get Parcelforce service with the same online tracking for less. £9.34 for their 48 hour service.
Great customer service too.

Just booked a parcel with https://www.parcels4delivery.com. £10.52 for the 24 hr service. Over 2 quid cheaper than parcelforce 48 and you can pay by paypal. Only downside, insurance cover set at a basic £50 as opposed to £150 of parcelforce.
Cheers Kev0
