Need bargain weekend break for 10 people 2008

Can anyone recommend a bargain weekend break for 10 people to Germany or Other European destinations for under £600 (for the whole party, not each) going in July/August 2008. It can be coach/ferry or fly.

All useful posts will be thanked :j

think its a bit early to get the budget flights - which are usually released 6 months pre flight date. Depends on what the 'group' wants to do as to where to go maybe - are you all OAP's, or party boys / girls (either way benidorms your location!!) :)

We're a mixture of honeymooning couple with their parents from both sides and our children.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think Benidorm is the place for us.

TBH i dont think you are going to get what you want for the price you want to pay in july / aug

unless you leave it til late but then you run the risk of not getting somewhere for all 10 of you ?!

By the sounds of it, congratulations may be in order so congrats BS, wish you every happiness together.

If I were looking to book a break with your budget, I would try the accord hotel group for an initial price check, try this link: http://www.accorhotels.com/

Then I would try this site to compare within the cities: http://www.hotelscomparison.com/

I've found some real gems on hotelscomparison even some well reduced 4 star hotels (if the dates are right). You need to be booking a hotel when demand is low to achieve a keaner price, so if the world and his brother have flocked to the riviera that a commercial centre inland in northern europe, of an off season ski resort may be touting for business.

You'll find something eventually but marrying up cheap hotels and cheap flights in August will be a long slog, if you are anything like me, you'll enjoy the challenge.

    Happy hunting

    Thanks for the congrats.

Weve seeked out a 3 night break in Rhineland Germany for 10 people at the end of August 2008 for £598 with Travelscope. It's coach pick up from your doorstep, ferry and 3 nights B&B. Our guests don't mind going by coach and 2 of them are scared of flying anyway. So I think we may go with that unless anyone has any other suggestions?

    My pleasure.

Sound like a great price and thats a beautiful part of the world.

Any trip is more about the people you are travelling with and the way they react/interact to new people and experience.

Hope you have a great time and make some really special memories.
