1st Central car insurance

Having received a quote for double what i paid last year on my car insurance, despite making no claims, I had a look on the comparison sites last nite. The company that has come up with the best (not cheapest but still over a hundred cheaper that my renewal quote) is a company called 1st Central insurance.

Does anybody here have any dealings with them? Any good/bad experiences to relate, as I have never heard of them.

nightmare company!!!
we are with 1st central - OH had a prang 3 weeks ago ad we have been trying to make a claim since - they dont answer phone calls or emails we have sent a recorded delivery letter week ago - still waiting for a response.
no matter how cheap they are dont do it!!!

There are currently three or four threads on the Insurance forum of MSE about First Central and the posts are virtually all negative.
