House price

Options
Can someone help...I remember checking on neighbourhood prices (a few years ago) can't find the site. Don't think I paid a fee, and the info gave house prices for mine and neighbours going back several years.
TIA

you can get a very rough estimation from some websites like www.upmystreet.com amongst others. I believe many of them provide the history of purchases but there may be a small fee associated to this or at the very least a free registration required.

Zoopla is crap and overprices property. What do you expect from an EA site?

Go to www.ourproperty.co.uk for land registry sales in your street back to 1995. Its a free subscription to fubra.com and you get to use petrolprices.com too for free.

If you only want to look recently, you can look at nethouseprices.com again free.

Bestcharting for house prices is www.Home.co.uk via there house prices link. Here is the one for swindon, change the location to see what the crack is, although be aware, searches that are too local will have spurious data, best to go for county (IE gloucestershire) although the stats for cities and large towns is pretty accurate.

Zoopla has exactly the same land registry data as ourproperty. Their record of sale prices isn't overpricing anything.

The sold prices are, with the occasional exception, exactly the same as ourproperty, and the OP was asking about their neighbourhood prices, not about Zoopla's estimates for either streets or areas.

Zoopla also applies dodgy stats that only apply nationwide to the LR data to come up with a "live" current price. As well as the software throwing on an extra 100K just because you had a greenhouse and conservatory built.

Once again, neither the OP nor I are talking about Zoopla's estimates, nor their stats, nor their live current price. We're talking about using Zoopla to look at sale prices in a certain street, area, town or county.

The sold prices shown in Zoopla are equally as accurate as the sold prices in ourproperty. The OP asked about sold prices, not estimates.

Thank you, was looking to find 'over the road' house price, identical to mine. Been on the market for several years due to divorce problems etc and slow market.
Didn't take a lot of notice whilst it was up for sale, but now find that Ourproperty site show that house was sold for £30,000 less than I expected. Not good news. Thank you for the efforts.

OK, ignore their estimates. But I found some pre-2000 sold prices there not available elsewhere
